Top Ten Tuesday [14]: Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish.

Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2015

1) Never Fade (The Darkest Minds #2) by Alexandra Bracken: I honestly don't know why I waited so long to continue this series, because it's just amazing. It has everything I love in a book: a kick-ass main character, great supporting characters, lots of action, adorable romance and a fantastic world. I think this book was my favorite from the trilogy. I loved all the new characters that were introduced, I laughed, cried, bit my nails, screamed at the book and everything.

2) In the Afterlight (The Darkest Minds #3) by Alexandra Bracken: Well, what can I say? It's a close second. As I said, this series has everything, including a perfect ending, which would seem kind of hard to accomplish giving the number of awful third installments in many YA trilogies these days. In the Afterlight was perfect for me, satisfying yet it left wanting just a little bit more.

3) Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5) by Richelle Mead: Noticing a pattern here? That's because 2015 is my year for completing series. I love Richelle Mead books and the whole Vampire Academy/Bloodlines series world is one of my favorites of all time... It's just so hard to let it go that I don't want to read the last book just because it will mean that it is over. This book was fantastic like most of Richelle Mead's book are. It has Adrian and that alone would have me reading a 50-books-series. The ending only made it harder for me to keep myself from jumping into the next one right away. It's just such a beautiful series.

4) Hopeless by Colleen Hoover: This woman though... She'll be the death of me, I swear! Everything I've read of her is so freaking intense. Hopeless was like beyond intense, I laughed out loud and cried while reading this, in public! Everyone looked at me like I was insane. Normally I don't have much of a problem with reading emotional books in public, but this one, just broke my heart in so many little pieces I could not contain myself. Note to self: do not read Colleen Hoover's book in public.

5) Obsidian (Lux #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout: I'd been meaning to read this book since like the beginning of time, but I just kept pushing it away. Now that I finally picked it up, there's not going back. I couldn't put it down, so I read in one sitting. I'm not a fan of aliens but God! Damon is just to die for... I'm adding this one to the list of series that I need to finish before 2016.

6) The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey #2) by Julia Kagawa: This one is from another series that I love but I just pushed away for no reason at all. I still have a couple more books to go and the story keeps getting better and better. This book is full of action and turns and ups and downs. The beginning is a bit slow but as soon as it picks up, it's like a freaking roller-coaster. Loved it!

7) Unmaking Hunter Kennedy by Anne Eliot: This book reminded me of a series I read a few years back and that I loved. It's not the same story of course, but it has kind of the same theme and I love reading about it. It's about a celebrity trying to hide away in a small town while dealing with his issues. And the romance is beautiful and the characters are well written. I just loved it. It's perfect for the summer.

8) Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: At first I didn't get why the hell everyone loved Rainbow Rowell so much, because I started this book and it was slow and kind of amusing but still not much happened and the main character was boneless and so broken that I could barely keep myself reading. I'm glad I did though, because he grows so much as a person throughout the book that I think it's worth the whole slow beginning just to see him at the end. It has lots of funny moments and cute scenes and at the end I was rooting so much for Lincoln to get his happy ending... It was really good, okay, I get it now!

9) Conspiracy Girl by Sarah Alderson: This one was an impulsive purchase. I just saw it and I had been watching CSI: Cyber and I just wanted something internet-related and I picked it up. There's mystery and action and running and chasing and coding and hacking and big plot twists and romance. It was a fairly fast read and I really liked it.

10) Velvet (Velvet Trilogy #1) by Temple West: This one I borrow from a friend just because I loved the cover. The story was great, although there's not much action at first, there's a lot of character development and relationship development and it was kind of a different take on vampires. I really enjoyed it and I plan on continuing this series when the next book comes out.
