Why am I waiting? 

I just loved the premise of this one. It sounds really exciting and mysterious. I mean "awakening an ancient evil", music, and a cool guy... I wouldn't miss it! The cover is pretty and intriguing too. I can't wait for it!

Review

General thoughts: It's difficult write a review of this book without giving anything away. So I'll keep it short. I really liked this book. It wasn't what I was expecting and since I wasn't expecting much... I think that's a good thing. The premise is absolutely awesome! I love the idea of the Greek Mythology and this is a book where almost everything has its explanation, without letting anything on the loose. 

About the plot and the characters: This is the hardest part of this review. How am I suppose to tell you what it is the book about when everything I can tell you that amaze me is a freaking spoiler?! Well, you just need to know the basics so you can make a decision about reading this book or not. Here it goes... Kate is a girl who just turned eighteen and have the weight of the sickness of her mother in her shoulders. Her mother last wish is to move to her childhood city, Eden, and Kate is a caring daughter who will do anything to make her mom feel comfortable in her last days. She has to face a new high school, with new friends and some strange guy who has proved that he's able to bring back people from the dead and who wants Kate to spend two seasons in The Eden Mansion with Henry, this mysterious guy, then she's suppose to pass seven test and if she does she will become in a goddess and she would "replace" Persefone. Because this is the myth that this story revolves around. 

Henry is Hades, the god of the Underworld and at this point he's desperate to make things with Kate works. Even if he's like secretive person, you can tell he's  good man/god and it is completely easy to fall for him.

The tests that Kate has to pass are related with the Seven Deadly Sins. And every time it would be harder for her to decide is she's making the right chose. 

Sooner than later she'll find out that all her life has been part of a biggest plan she didn't know it was meant for her.

About the writing: This is the first book from the Goddess Test series, and it makes a really good start in my opinion. I grew fond with the characters. I manage to fall in love with Henry although he's really stubborn and kind of insecure even if he doesn't show it to the world. I love the fast-paced style. I think I was done with this book in a nigh or so. There's just a few bad words, but nothing too horrible, so I thinks this is appropriate to most of teenagers. I love so many quotes, there's so much on this book about never giving up and I think this is a pretty great message.

About the ending (may contains spoilers): Well, the ending for me was completely mind blowing. You find out so many things that fall right in to place and you finally understand what the hell has been going on all this time. I have to say that for me it would be pretty hard to be in Kate's position at the ending of this book. She will have to learn to forget all the lies she has been told and try to make the best choices she can. 

I would recommend it for: Everyone who loves Greek mythology and romance all tied together with a great amount of adventures and a little action. You should read it if you like anything paranormal, you may like it even if you don't like Greek mythology. It's pretty cool. I think it is appropriated for teenagers 14+.
